Holy Family Learning Center Where Children Grow Holy Family Learning Center (HFLC) offers a preschool program for children 2 - 5 years of age. The Learning Center exists to meet the needs of the families at Holy Family Catholic Church and the community. The Learning Center arises from a common desire to excellence in meeting the needs of children and their families, for nurturing, growth and development, relationships, and understanding in a Christian environment. Our program is a state licensed program that is child-centered and based on the belief that play is the best way for children to learn. Our curriculum is bias-free and developmentally based, focusing on the individual child's physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual needs. The children are introduced to a balanced program of interaction with friends in both teacher-directed and child-directed experiences. Each class is organized with centers for creative art, literature, science, pre-math, dramatic play, and cognitive and small motor development. Children are free to make choices as long as they stay within the limits of consideration for other people and things. Class Schedules Children must be the age of the class on or before September 30 to be eligible. 2-year-old class Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday Ratio: 4:1 (8 children per class) Older 2/3-year-old class Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday Ratio: 5:1 (10 children per class) 3-year-old class Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday Ratio: 6:1 (12 children per class) 4-year-old class Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday or Monday-Thursday Ratio: 6:1 (12 children per class) Older 4/5-year-old class Monday - Thursday Ratio: 6:1 (12 children per class) The Learning Center operates September through May and is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Fee Schedule for 2012-2013 school year *Registration Fee: $50 per child, annual fee per child. *Must accompany completed enrollment form.
