Sacraments are sacred, visible signs of God's loving grace and presence to humanity.  The Roman Catholic community honors seven ritual sacraments:  baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, reconciliation, matrimony, holy orders and anointing of the sick.  Through the sacraments, we are given actions of a people at prayer, ways in which the church gathers before God, celebrating a variety of activities born of a relationship with God.    BAPTISM "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 Through Baptism we become members of the Body of Christ.  This Sacrament signifies our immersion in the Christian life. MATRIMONY "So they are no longer two, but one flesh.  Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." CONFIRMATION "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit..."Acts 2:4 Confirmation seals our Baptism and confirms our commitment both to the Church and to the work of Christ in the world.
